As per the latest Assessor’s Guide (2018-2019) published on the MCI website, Professor/Additional Professor/Associate Professor working in a Govt Medical College and having more than six years of experience as Associate Professor is eligible for being appointed as an assessor for inspecting the medical college. It is not clear whether the requisite requirement of six years experience as an Associate Professor has to be only from the Govt Medical College or is one from a private college acceptable. It is quite possible that a faculty, who has served in a private medical college as an associate professor may join in the Govt sector on the regular or contractual basis.
