Combined organ injuries, such as thoracoabdominal injuries , are among the most severe injuries. Moreover, they are unpredictable in terms of consequences and pose high mortality compared to single cavity injuries. Penetrating thoracoabdominal injuries reportedly poses a 20–30% risk of other complicated injuries. Case presentation A 24-year-old man was admitted to the emergency department for penetrating knife wounds in the abdominal cavity.
