Concussion alters brain function, affects memory and orientation, and it may involve loss of consciousness. Mild to severe traumatic injuries can result in a concussion. This evidence-based guideline is developed by the American  Academy Of Neurology to evaluate and manage sports concussions.

This guideline may be helpful to determine the risk factors, diagnosis, management, and to reduce the risk of repeated concussion.
