Many times, cancer survivors are underprepared for what comes after their treatment. Moreover, there is a knowledge gap about the supportive care needs of cancer survivors in Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries. An observational cross-sectional study has identified gaps in supportive care for cancer-surviving adults at a Jordanian hospital. Researchers assessed 240 cancer survivors to identify loopholes in supportive care.

The Validated Supportive Care Needs Survey 34 (SCNS-34) questionnaire was used to record participant data. The questions included sociodemographic characteristics like age, gender, education, etc., clinical information like age at diagnosis, date of diagnosis, etc., and financial consequences after diagnosing cancer, like leaving the job or working part-time to meet expenses.
