The safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines are proven in clinical trials. However, people may still hesitate from taking vaccines due to several concerns such as the efficacy, possible side-effects, and their eligibility for vaccination. Vaccine hesitancy is defined as refusal for vaccination or delay in vaccine acceptance despite the availability of vaccine services. In February 2021, the government had reported that one of the major reasons why fewer than planned beneficiaries turned up for the vaccination sessions was vaccine hesitancy.
