Case Presentation An 81-year old male presented to the dental clinic with a 2-month history of persistent oral soreness, mainly involving the tongue and denture-bearing mucosa. The symptoms of the patient persisted despite denture adjustments. Clinical History Crohn’s disease diagnosed 16 years ago. The patient was on 2 weeks of prednisone for the management of Crohn’s disease prior to the presentation.

The patient had worn a maxillary complete denture and a mandibular complete overdenture for 3 years. The patient’s recent medication included dicyclomine hydrochloride and mesalamine for the management of gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, the patient took calcium and folic acid supplements.
