A single-center preliminary retrospective cohort study published in Frontiers in Oncology compared the clinical outcomes of total Müllerian compartment resection (TMCR) with traditional radical hysterectomy and evaluated the learning curve for this novel surgical approach in 60 women undergoing initial surgical treatment for FIGO stage IB3 and IIA2 cervical cancer. The study included 37 patients who underwent TMCR and 23 who received traditional radical hysterectomy. Operative time, postoperative hospital stay, and complication rates were comparable between groups. However, TMCR was associated with significantly lower intraoperative blood loss (median 100 mL vs.
