Valvular heart disease is a relevant cause of morbidity and mortality. Aortic stenosis (AS) and mitral regurgitation (MR) account for the majority of valvular diseases and their prevalence is increasing according to population aging. Though surgery remains the gold standard, but they may have an operative risk. Therefore, there is a need for alternative and less invasive procedures. This article provides an insight of some of the approaches used for transcatheter valve repair procedures.
