Two back-to-back assaults on resident doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical College and Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have raised fresh concerns about workplace safety in Indian hospitals. The incidents, which occurred within 24 hours on April 28 and 29, 2026, have prompted strong condemnation from the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors and renewed calls for urgent systemic reforms.
