Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancer in women, diagnosed in around 140 countries in the world. It has found that about 1 in 3,000 pregnant and lactating women are diagnosed with breast cancer. According to the Union Health Ministry, India accounts for 25.8 per 1,00,000 breast cancer incidence and 12.7 per 100,000 of mortality rate. While it has found that approximately 50% of women die due to late diagnosis.

Early screening plays a significant role in breast cancer management but still due to reluctant nature and other socioeconomic factors have led to the lowest screening rate in our country.
