The USFDA has recently approved epcoritamab for the treatment of relapsed or refractory diffused large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) in adult patients who have previously been treated with at least two forms of systemic therapy. Epcoritamab is a bispecific CD20-directed CD3 T-cell targeting drug. The approval was granted based on a clinical trial where epcoritamab was evaluated in 148 DLBCL patients who had undergone at least two lines of systemic therapy.

Key results from the clinical trial Dosage and administration The drug is recommended to be administered subcutaneously in 28-day cycles: Hospitalization for 24 hours is recommended after administering the first full dose on day 15 of the 1st cycle due to the risk of cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS).
