Case presentation A 19-year-old male was admitted to the hospital with a complaint of severe abdominal pain for two days. The pain was initially located in the central abdomen and then shifted to the right iliac fossa. The patient vomited twice on the previous day of admission. His bowel motions were loose without any rectal bleeding. Examination Upon examination, the patient was found to have a body temperature of 37.8°C, pulse rate of 110/min, tenderness in the abdomen, and guarding in the right iliac fossa. Urinalysis is clear.
