When A New Born Male Child Went Missing From Labour Room

In a prestigious institution, a newborn male child went missing immediately after delivery. DMS cum nodal officer of Labour room and Head of gynecology and obstetrics were chargesheeted. Services of seven staff members including security guards, housekeeping staff, and staff nurses were terminated.Now, director of the institution has also resigned. I have full sympathy with the family whose child went missing.

Is action against doctors justified? How to avoid such incidents? Kindly share your opinion.
