The UN officials and Congolese are racing to prevent the runaway Ebola outbreak in Congo. They are working on it by keeping the newly arrived vaccines below freezing in the steamy region of equator with huge power. The WHO spokesman said the U.N. body would have an Emergency Committee meeting on Friday so as to consider the international risks. 44 cases of Ebola have been suspected with 23 reported deaths. One of the cases confirmed in Mbandaka, a city of about 1 million connected to Kinshasa by the Congo River is of major worry.
WHO has considered Mbandaka on priority for preventing the outbreak. An experimental vaccine has been deployed to health workers. This vaccine needs storage requirement of 80 degrees Celsius below freezing in a humid region.
