The World Health Organization has officially declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, placing global attention on the rare Bundibugyo strain of the virus. According to WHO, the outbreak has resulted in 246 reported cases and 80 deaths so far.
