The WHO Academy has launched a Training of Trainers Program on Mass Casualty Management for Emergency Units Preparedness and Response at the AIIMS Trauma Center in New Delhi. This marks the first time such a program has been conducted in India. The WHO designed the Mass Casualty Management Program to target frontline healthcare professionals in emergency units, including doctors, nurses, technicians, logistics support, and management staff. The training aims to enhance their ability to effectively manage mass casualty situations , ensuring the maximum number of lives can be saved during emergencies.
