Most doctors get quite irritated by patients who go doctor shopping. These can be challenging patients to deal with, because they come armed with thick files, lots of investigations, and lots of questions. Their head is often full of stuff which another doctor has told them - lots of which you may disagree with! Not only are they checking with you to confirm whether what the other doctor said is right or wrong, they are also checking on you, as they want to see if you can provide an alternative opinion or a better option .
Many doctors feel threatened by these patients, because they feel that their authority is being challenged.
