MCI have permitted at maximum 30% nonmedical teachers of the total faculty. It is just due to a scarcity of medical teachers. Is it acceptable that a single exam/ interview judge eligibility of MBBS, MD degree holder with MSc? Ph.D. is not necessary for the post of Assistant professor in preclinical subjects(rule of MCI) So by the recruitment they take 70 % medical and 30% nonmedical. They recruited very less number of actual vacant seats.

So, only top medical graduate get posts for Senior demonstrator and within few months they go for PG degree coz they are toppers. Then the ratio of nonmedical increases.
