Patient profile: A 36-year-old female with an extensive history of cancer with a known familial gene mutation was presented to a physician. She had a sister and a brother with the same mutation, and both passed away from brain cancer. She is a non-smoker and a non-drinker. Clinical presentation Due to fatigue and the worsening of her chronic anemia, she was presented to the emergency department. She was found to have adenocarcinoma of the jejunum.

During treatment of her anemia, she also reported having tongue pain. Examination revealed a 2 cm firm raised lesion to her right lateral oral tongue, which was suspicious of malignancy.
