The members of the World Health Organization have gathered in Geneva, Switzerland for the 72nd World Health Assembly to discuss and debate on multiple health issues affecting populations worldwide. The gathering is also expected to address issues of market transparency for medicines, WHO’s transformational agenda, steps to combat the shortage of health workers by 2030 and health conditions in refugee areas. The World Health Assembly will be held from May 20-28 and will focus on the theme “Universal health coverage: leaving no-one behind”.
