Case Presentation A 55-year old male presented to a hospital with complaints of abdominal pain, absolute constipation, and vomiting for the last 6-8 days. Patient history The patient reported a history of weakness, anorexia, low-grade fever, and episodes of pain in the right lower abdominal quadrant. He was also on antitubercular treatment for six months after suspicion of abdominal tuberculosis in another hospital. The previous investigations of colonoscopy and CT scans were not suggestive of any serious disease.
Physical examination An abdominal examination revealed the features of acute intestinal obstruction with dilated bowel loops and visible peristalsis. Radiological examination A contrast-enhanced CT scan was suggestive of dilated bowel loops as shown in the cover image. Histological Examination The following features were observed: Prominent and enlarged lymphatic follicles.โฆ
