Case presentation After being on hemodialysis for four years, a 33-year-old man was admitted for kidney transplantation from a brain-dead 33-year-old male donor. A road accident had resulted in the death of the donor. History Hypertension and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) Eleven years ago, the patient had received a living donor kidney from his brother in the right iliac fossa. Angioplasty for renal artery stenosis and plasmapheresis sessions for suspected recurrent FSGS marked the postoperative path after the living donor kidney transplantation.
A micturating cystourethrogram (MCUG) revealed grade 2 reflux. The transplantation of a deceased donor kidney into the left iliac fossa went smoothly.
