A 45-year-old woman presented to the dermatology clinic with the complaint of a purple color painful lesion on the right foot accompanied by abdominal pain and vomiting. 24 hours before the presentation, the woman visited a primary healthcare facility, where she received broad-spectrum antibiotics that failed to improve her condition. On arrival at the dermatology clinic, the patient was febrile, tachycardiac, tachypnoeic, and experiencing occasional chills. The patient reported the onset of symptoms approximately one day after she got injured by cutting her foot on a rock while swimming in a river.
