A 3-year-old girl attends the pediatric dermatology clinic with her mother. She has a red lesion on her left ear. The lesion is completely asymptomatic. Past Medical History (PMH): The child's parents first noticed the lesion shortly after birth and it appeared as a red ‘stain’. The lesion growth was noticed up to the baby was four months old. The child was born at term. Vaccination is fully up to date.

There is no family history of birthmarks. No other skin lesions are present.
