Recently, I was rather surprised by a 45 year old male who had no other comorbidities, complaining of giddiness and presyncope upon having a hearty laugh. It used to subside when he stopped laughing .On one occasion, he landed with a syncope and we had to make him lie down and administer fluids to resuscitate him. Heard of micturition, cough syncope, etc. But this was something out of the blue. Would like to know from this enlightened audience whether there is anything called laughter syncope?

If so what is the mechanism? Do any drugs cause it? Need your guidance in the matter as I am unable to treat it. Don't know who will have the last laugh?
