Case Presentation A 31-year-old woman presented to an emergency department with blurred vision and progressive bulging of her left orbit. She experienced a blurred vision for the past four weeks and bulging for the past two weeks. Investigations A physical examination revealed nontender proptosis, paresis of the left abducens nerve, and reduced visual acuity in the left eye. A histopathological exam revealed multiple protoscolices with central hooklets, adjacent or attached to a thick and acellular laminated membrane. A thoracic and abdominal computed tomography scan revealed no extra-orbital organ involvement.
