Case presentation A young woman presented to a clinician with a 3-week history of severely painful lesion on the dorsolateral side of the tongue. Patient history The onset of the disease was one year ago, with the formation of a mass on the right side of the tongue that developed due to initial bite trauma. The lesion was treated appropriately but did not heal completely.
The patient denied a history of tobacco or smoking abuse.
