Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed noncutaneous cancer in women and the second leading cause of mortality in women. Due to widespread mammography screening programs, most patients with breast cancer are diagnosed at an early stage. However, advanced breast cancer is usually considered an incurable situation, for which the management strategies, should consider the maintenance of a good quality of life.
