Case presentation A 49-year-old male presented to an otorhinolaryngologist with a 3-month history of progressive voice changes and pain while swallowing. The patient did not report any history of weight loss and did not present any systemic symptoms. Medical history Hypertension Type 2 diabetes mellitus Social history Active smoker Clinical examination A fiberoptic laryngoscopy was conducted that revealed a 2-cm lesion at the level of the vocal cords (Figure 1A) The laryngeal lesion was further excised, and samples were sent for histological examination. A laparoscopic radical nephrectomy of the patient’s right kidney was also performed.
Radiograph analysis An abdominal and chest CT scan was conducted that revealed a mass measuring 7.0 cm X 6.4 cm X 6.6 cm at the superior pole of the right kidney. (Figure 1B) Several pulmonary lesions were observed. The mediastinal lymph nodes were also…
