Portomesenteric vein thrombosis (PMVT) post laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is a rare but severe condition. According to studies, up to 10.9% of patients undergoing LSG may present with symptomatic or asymptomatic PMVT. The present article presents a case report of PMVT post LSG and summarizes the etiology and clinical presentation of PMVT, and emphasizes on its management.
