After striking down the Bridge course, which allowed AYUSH practitioners to practice and prescribe allopathic medicine, the state officials are now saying that they will continue to integrate and educate AYUSH practitioners with modern medicine. The IMA who is in strong opposition of this bridge course states this decision to be insignificant and is going to wait till the final bill draft is released. In 2016 the Maharashtra government started one-year Certificate Course of Modern Pharmacology (CCMP). From then 650 doctors have cleared the course.
One batch is waiting for results and another is under training.
