Β  Β  Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is a common form of renal replacement therapy in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Access route for PD can be established laparoscopically, through a percutaneous puncture, or surgically. A study titled β€œ Clinical Application of Peritoneal Dialysis Catheterization Without Capsular Puncture Technique ” describes a modification to the peritoneal catheterization procedure by using only a single puncture and describes its advantages of over conventional forms of surgical catheterization.
