Brugada Syndrome was first discovered in the year 1992. It is one of the rare heart conditions leading to arrhythmia and sudden deaths. It is usually inherent, but at times it can be seen in patients without any family history. General Description: The global prevalence of Brugada syndrome (BrS) is 0.5 in 1000 patients. The electric impulses become uncoordinated in people with this syndrome, leading to irregular heartbeat followed by reduced blood flow to the brain and heart, resulting in sudden deaths.
