A 60-year-old male presents to the hospital with progressive weakness in the legs. The weakness had first developed in the lower portion of the left leg three years ago, which subsequently progressed to the right leg. Based on the above findings, a presumptive diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis was considered. Due to claustrophobia, the patient refused additional tests, including an MRI.

The symptoms worsened over time, and six months after the initial examination, the patient presented to the hospital with new complaints.
