Case presentation A 5-year-old boy presented to the urology department with a complaint of a lump in the right inguinal region. He had no complaints of tenderness, bowel obstruction, or infection. The patient‘s birth history was normal. Examination : Abdomen — Soft, non-distended, and not tender Normal bowel sounds A firm mass of around 3 cm in diameter was identified in the right inguinal region.

The transillumination test was positive.
