A 4-year-4-month-old boy presented to the dental department of a private hospital. The child’s medical history revealed that he was born with a birth weight of 1729 grams, occipital-frontal circumference of 29 cm, serum calcium of 1.5 mm/L, and phosphate of 2.6 mmol/L. Walking and speech were delayed, as reported in the medical record. The child presented with severe dental caries and neglected oral hygiene, all upper teeth were severely decayed, and lower molars were also exposed. In contrast, lower anterior teeth were minimally affected, which suggests a nursing bottle pattern of dental caries.
