Case presentation A 72-year-old female was admitted with a complaint of shortness of breath. History She has been unwell for the last eight weeks Decreased appetite and nausea Swollen abdomen despite losing weight Suffering from constipation and dull abdominal pain No urinary symptoms Stopped menstruating at 52 years and didn’t have post-menopausal bleeding Never had hormone-replacement therapy Never been admitted to hospital before Examination Appears pale and is breathless while talking Chest examination- Chest expansion reduced on the right side, dullness to percussion, reduced air entry at the right base Abdomen – generally distended, shifting dullness A mass arising from the pelvis Speculum examination - Normal; on bimanual palpation - A fixed left iliac fossa mass with a diameter of 10 cm.
