Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is one of the most common life-threatening infections, with most deaths occurring in developing countries. 1 India accounts for 23% of the global pneumonia burden, and 36% of the WHO regional burden. 2 Evidence suggests that ceftaroline fosamil is an effective and well-tolerated treatment in CAP patients. 3 In this regard, the present article describes a case of a man, who was effectively managed with ceftaroline fosamil.
