Synopsis Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative disease whose prevalence is higher in athletes and elderly populations. During knee OA swelling painful knees and discomfort often make patients mobility difficult that puts a great burden on both families and societies. Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is one such procedure which helps knee OA patients in easing pain and improves their ambulation in a long-term duration. Acute pain post operation of TKA  often decreases the quality of life which further prolongs patients recovery time and hospital stays.

Therefore, it is very essential to control and manage the post-operation pain for early recovery.
