Chewing gum exerts beneficial effects on bowel motility when used in postoperative care after minimally invasive surgery reported a recent study published in the International Journal of Reproduction, Contraception, Obstetrics, and Gynecology. The study also suggested that it should be recommended to patients after gynecological laparoscopic surgery.
