Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gout are two commonly witnessed rheumatic diseases. However, the coexistence of gout and rheumatoid arthritis in the same patient is rarely observed and reported in a clinical scenario. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is the most frequently diagnosed symmetric, peripheral polyarthritis, chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases whose exact etiology is still unknown. It is characterized by persistent synovitis, systemic inflammation, and autoantibodies.

The risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis is attributed to be about 50% due to genetic factors and smoking is the main environmental risk leading to RA.
