Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder associated with various vascular complications. It has been widely reported to be associated with an increased risk of chronic liver disease. Diabetic hepatosclerosis is a rare vascular complication of diabetes, often observed in liver biopsies of patients with diabetes presented with cholestasis. The association of diabetic hepatosclerosis with other microvascular complications suggests it to be a form of hepatic diabetic microangiopathy.
