Male, 48 years age, came to emergency with progressive shortness of breath. He had tachycardia with heart rate 105 bpm and tachypnea with a respiratory rate of 24 per minute and high bp of 175/76?mm?Hg. Mild jugular veins distention was seen. ECG showed sinus tachycardia with nonspecific ST-T changes.
Chest X-ray revealed mild interstitial edema and cardiomegaly. He had earlier been diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, hypertension, diabetes mellitus type II, chronic kidney disease stage III, and schizophrenia. Is this only decompensated heart failure? What is the prognosis for this?
