Dermatophytes are fungi that mainly invade and multiply within the keratinized tissues of skin, hair, and nails, further causing infection. The most recent guidelines have focused mainly on the management of tinea capitis and tinea unguium and only a few guidelines have focused on tinea corporis/cruris. The current article emphasizes the indications for the systemic antifungals and oral antifungals for the management of tinea corporis and pedis .
