A 16-year-old boy presented to the emergency department with gradually worsening pain and swelling in his left knee. He was experiencing locking of the knee, stiffness, and effusion. He reported these symptoms to the physician after sustaining a loading and twisting injury playing football. Patient complaints: He had symptoms of stiffness, swelling, and locking. On a pain scale of 1 to 10, he experienced a level 8 stabbing pain.
