Case presentation: A 6-year-old boy presented to the clinic with complaints of pain and swelling in his left leg and non-pruritic rashes on both legs. The boy was unable to walk but denied any trauma. Medical history: The patient suffered from cough and sore throat for the past week but did not show any signs of fever.

His upper respiratory symptoms had resolved by the time of presentation. Physical examination: Normotensive, tachycardia, and febrile to 100.9°F. The medial left thigh had around 4-5 cm swollen, erythematous, and warm areas. The patient was in discomfort and unable to ambulate and tolerate palpations of the area.
