Case representation A 40-year-old woman presents to the health care center with a few hours of sharp pain in the abdomen radiating to the back. She denied any history of pancreatitis, alcohol consumption, or illegal drug abuse. Medical history The patient had a history of hypertension and bipolar disorder. She had a cholecystectomy in 2004. Her physical examination revealed a heart rate of 105 beats/min and a blood pressure of 132/84 mmHg.
Due to severe epigastric tenderness and pain, she was in distress. Laboratory work-up The following were the laboratory test results.
