Case A 49-year-old man presented with a complaint of an intermittent cough with hemoptysis for two years. He did not experience any chest pain, dyspnea, night sweats, weakness, headache, or weight loss. History The patient had been treated for the condition intermittently with antibiotics, but his symptoms persisted. The patient also developed a productive cough with green or black sputum. There was no history of allergies, smoking, or illicit drugs He was not on any regular medications.
He did not have any pets. Physical examination Temperature- 36.6 0 C PR- 103 bpm Systemic examination was normal. Laboratory investigations White cell count - 4640/mm3 (3500–9500; neutrophils, 55.10%, lymphocytes, 32.80%), Haemoglobin - 14.5 g/dl (13.0–17.5) and Platelet count - 242,000/mm3 (125,000–350,000).
