Some individuals are hypersensitive the insect sting and may develop anaphylaxis. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) have jointly provided an updated guideline for the management of this condition. The Algorithm: Take accurate and specific detailed history and examine the patient If there is an anaphylactic r eaction, then prescribe self-administrable adrenaline injection and recommend avoiding insects.
