Case Presentation A previously healthy seven-year-old boy presented to the Emergency Department (ED) with a generalized tonic-clonic seizure lasting approximately 30 minutes during sleep. According to his caregiver, the episode was associated with a fixed right-sided gaze.
He had a two-day history of low-grade tactile fever, rhinorrhea, and vomiting, but no headache, neck stiffness, visual disturbances, or rash.
